Medical evacuation between cities and from abroad
SOS Médecins Maroc, a healthcare provider in Morocco since 1986, handles patient transfers, whether a repatriation from abroad or a medical evacuation between cities, to the destination of your choice.
A medical team throughout the journey
SOS Médecins provides medically equipped air ambulances, intensive care air ambulances, air taxis and stretcher-equipped aircraft, together with a team that looks after the patient throughout the journey: a nurse and an anaesthetist-intensivist accompany them all the way to their destination.
Medical arrangements are decided by the treating doctors, while the operations team handles the administrative side. The patient’s state of health is assessed first: it determines whether the transfer is feasible, the means of transport, the care required on board, the medical staff assigned (emergency doctors, intensive care doctors, nurses) and the duration of the operation.
The resources we deploy for our medical evacuations
Medical evacuation means transferring a patient in a medical or surgical emergency with the medical assistance and logistics their condition requires, using one or more suitable means of transport: intensive care air ambulance, medically equipped air ambulance or stretcher-equipped aircraft.
Through its partnerships, SOS Médecins has air and ground resources (air ambulances, agreements with airlines, ambulances) to provide assistance anywhere. We handle the entire case, from the initial assessment to the completion of the mission, including administrative formalities: a single point of contact for each mission.
Our medical evacuation services
SOS Médecins offers, in particular:
- Repatriation with a medical or paramedical escort on a scheduled flight, patient seated
- Repatriation by road ambulance with a medical or paramedical escort
- Repatriation with a medical or paramedical escort on a scheduled flight, patient lying on a stretcher
- Repatriation with a medical or paramedical escort by air ambulance, patient seated or lying on a stretcher
For its clients in Morocco and abroad, SOS Médecins mobilises its air resources (air ambulances and partnerships with airlines) and its people (emergency doctors, anaesthetist-intensivists, paediatricians, nurses and nurse anaesthetists). Call us: our team will explain every step to follow.
